New to feng shui and want to create good energy in your bedroom? Follow these simple steps.

I am sure you know about the importance of good feng shui energy in your bedroom. Even though we live in strange times when it takes AI just a few seconds to flood you with data about everything, including feng shui, it might nor be so easy to put it all into practice.

When you work with feng shui, you work with energy, so it takes of combination of intellectual knowledge and practical energy reading skills to achieve that healing sense of harmony we all long for.

Below I want to share with you three simple steps, which I would equate to foundational feng shui rules, for creating good energy in your bedroom.

Step 1: Create a good energy foundation for your bedroom

What does a good feng shui energy foundation mean? Well, we are basically looking at a set of energetic building blocks on which your bedroom energy is resting:

(1) the abundance of clean air,

(2) the amount and quality of natural light,

(3) no clutter and no electronic devices in the bedroom.

These are firm rules that you should not compromise if you want to create good energy in your bedroom. Yes, this means no computer in the bedroom, no cell phone close to your bed, and definitely no TV or exercise equipment in the bedroom. These are all non-negotiable rules if you want to enjoy a good feng shui bedroom.

Why? Mainly because these devices y create high EMFs for which you pay a very high price in terms of your health (often without realizing why you keep not feeling well). They are also slowly but surely destroying all the precious energy that you want to have in your most intimate space, the energy of genuine love, deep intimate connection and sexual healing.

Basics such as keeping the window open for a fresh air flow, letting the natural light in, not storing any clutter in your bedroom closets or under the bed have to become just that: basics that you do not think about, argue or make it hard to implement. You just make them into habits.

Step 2. Find the best feng shui spot for your bed

Find the best furniture layout for your bedroom which allows your bed to be in the so-called feng shui commanding position and/or facing one of your lucky feng shui directions. It is best to have access to your bed from both sides, even if you are single, and to have nightstands — no matter how small, even a tall stack of books can work well — on both sides of the bed.

Be mindful to not have mirrors facing your bed, or any sharp angles (called Sha Chi in feng shui) pointing at you while you sleep. Find out what makes a good feng shui bedroom layout (see the worst layouts, too), and implement the most suitable one for your bedroom. Be sure you know the best spots for your biggest bedroom furniture pieces. A good placement of furniture — especially your bed — will allow for a stable and harmonious flow of energy that every bedroom needs.

Step 3. Use good feng shui colors in your bedroom decor

In energetic terms, beauty is similar to highest quality nutrition for us. An ugly space can literally poison your energy, while a beautiful, harmonious space will elevate, nourish and heal you.

Do your best to create (and maintain) a sense of beauty in your bedroom and decorate only with items that you truly love and respond well to.

Follow the basic feng shui guidelines, such as the one of the Earth feng shui element colours being the best choice for the bedroom. Look at the wide range of colours of this grounding and protective feng shui element, from rich chocolate browns to the soft and gentle sandy colours.

Be sure to add a few sensual, romantic touches expressed in the Fire feng shui element colours, which are red, pink, magenta, purple, lavender and coral orange colours. Bring only art that makes you feel relaxed, happy and inspired, use comfortable natural bedding, have natural candles or dimmer switches to keep the energy soft and nourishing.

Your bedroom is an outward expression of your love for yourself, so start truly loving and respecting your energy because love and respect lead to all things healing and beautiful. Ultimately, love does not come from outside you, but is rather an expression of your own energy. It is only wise, then, to express it more, and to nourish and strengthen this expression with intelligent and good feng shui bedroom decorating.
